FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions by existing patients
What do I do if I have medications that need refills?
For existing patients, we suggest contacting your pharmacy first - because most of the time, there are refills on your previous Rx with that pharmacy. However, if you are totally out of refills, we may ask that you have labs conducted before your prescription refills are authorized. In certain circumstances and if there is a critical urgency, a short-term authorization for prescriptions will be sent to your pharmacy. These evaluations are on a case-by-case basis.
For all refills, you MUST schedule a telemedicine visit. To ensure you are safe and stable with medications that Dr. Wine prescribes, you must have an appointment to process prescription refills. Practicing safe medicine, ensuring there are no new symptoms or adverse reactions is duty of a physician.
What if I don’t have the finances currently to schedule a telemedicine visit with you?
We understand that some of patients may not have the financial means for a telemedicine visit at this time. If that is your scenario, your medication must still be monitored by a physician and we ask that you work with your primary care provider (PCP) to continue refills during this time. Most PCP’s accept insurance and therefore your costs will be reduced seeing them.
